আজ, রবিবার সারাটা দিন ধরেই কলকাতা সহ দক্ষিণবঙ্গের বিভিন্ন জেলায় চলল বৃষ্টি। সন্ধ্যা পেরিয়ে রাতেও সমানে চলছে বারিধারা। বঙ্গোপসাগরে তৈরি হওয়া গভীর নিম্নচাপের প্রভাবে কলকাতাসহ গোটা দক্ষিণবঙ্গে অবিরাম বৃষ্টি চলছে।
আজ, রবিবার সারাটা দিন ধরেই কলকাতা সহ দক্ষিণবঙ্গের বিভিন্ন জেলায় চলল বৃষ্টি। সন্ধ্যা পেরিয়ে রাতেও সমানে চলছে বারিধারা। বঙ্গোপসাগরে তৈরি হওয়া গভীর নিম্নচাপের প্রভাবে কলকাতাসহ গোটা দক্ষিণবঙ্গে অবিরাম বৃষ্টি চলছে। একইসঙ্গে বেশ কিছু জেলায় বৃষ্টির লাল ও কমলা সতর্কতাও জারি করা হয়েছে। অসহনীয় গরম থেকে মুক্তি পেলেও বিশ্বকর্মা পুজোয় ঘুড়ি উড়বে কীভাবে তা ভেবে অনেক বাঙালির রাতের ঘুম উড়েছে। মধ্য মায়ানমারের ঘূর্ণাবর্ত অবস্থান করছে দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব বাংলাদেশ ও সংলগ্ন এলাকায় । এই ঘূর্ণাবর্ত পশ্চিম ও উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিকে এগোবে।
গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় নিম্নচাপ ক্ষেত্র তৈরি করেছে বাংলাদেশ উপকূল ও সংলগ্ন বঙ্গোপসাগর এলাকায়। তারপর সেটি ক্রমশ পশ্চিম ও উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিকে অগ্রসর হয়ে গভীর নিম্নচাপে পরিণত হয়েছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ উপকূল এবং উত্তর-পশ্চিম বঙ্গোপসাগর এলাকায়। তবে আগামী ২৪ থেকে ৪৮ ঘণ্টায় শক্তি হারিয়ে দুর্বল হয়ে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে ঝাড়খণ্ডের দিকে সরে যাবে নিম্নচাপটি।
