কেন্দ্রীয় যোগাযোগ ও তথ্য প্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রী অশ্বিনী বৈষ্ণব সোমবার 'চক্ষু পোর্টাল' এর সূচনা করেছেন।দেশের প্রতিটি টেলিকম ব্যবহারকারীদের জালিয়াতি বা স্প্যাম কলকারীদের হাত থেকে রক্ষা করতেই এই প্ল্যাটফর্ম বা পোর্টাল।
সরকারের তরফে জানানো হয়েছে, স্প্যাম কল বা এসএমএস বা হোয়াটসঅ্যাপের মাধ্যমে প্রতারণার বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করার জন্য পদক্ষেপ নেবে এই চক্ষু পোর্টাল। এছাড়াও নাগরিকদের সাইবার-অপরাধ, আর্থিক জালিয়াতি, ছদ্মবেশী বা অন্য কোন অপব্যবহারের মতো অপ্রকৃত উদ্দেশ্যে টেলিকম পরিষেবা ব্যবহারকারীদের প্রতারণা করার জন্য সন্দেহভাজন কল বা এসএমএস বা হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ জালিয়াতি যোগাযোগের রিপোর্ট করতেও সহায়তা করবে এই পোর্টাল।
তথ্য ও প্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রী বলেন - sancharsaathi.gov.in/sfc-এ উপলব্ধ এই সুবিধাটির লক্ষ্য নাগরিকদের "সন্দেহজনক জালিয়াতি যোগাযোগের বিষয়ে সক্রিয়ভাবে রিপোর্ট করার অনুমতি দেওয়া। "
