Sam Pitroda: উত্তর, পূর্ব, দক্ষিণ ভারতীয়দের মধ্যে তুলনা টেনে মন্তব্যের জেরে প্রবল বিতর্ক, কংগ্রেসের পদ থেকে সরলেন স্যাম পিত্রোদা
নিজের পদ থেকে সরে দাঁড়ালেন স্যাম পিত্রোদা। ইন্ডিয়ান ওভারসিজ কংগ্রেসের (Congress) চেয়ারম্যান পদ থেকে সরে দাঁড়ান পিত্রোদা। স্যাম পিত্রোদার এই মন্তব্য মেনে নিয়েছেন কংগ্রেস সভাপতি। বুধবার বিকেলে ট্যুইট করে এমনই জানান কংগ্রেস নেতা জয়রাম রমেশ। সম্প্রতি স্যাম পিত্রোদা (Sam Pitroda) মন্তব্য করেন, 'দক্ষিণ ভারতের লোকেরা আফ্রিকানদের মত এবং পূর্বের মানুষদের দেখতে চিনাদের মত। পশ্চিমের মানুষরা আরবদের মত দেখতে এবং উত্তরের মানুষের গায়ের রং সাদা।' পিত্রোদার ওই মন্তব্যের পর থেকে শুরু হয় জোরদার বিতর্ক। এমনকী ভারতে বৈচিত্রের মধ্যে ঐক্যের কথা বোঝাতে গিয়ে পিত্রোদা যে মন্তব্য করেন, তা গ্রহণযোগ্য নয় এবং কংগ্রেস তা সমর্থন করে না বলেও মন্তব্য করেন জয়রাম রমেশ।
