কাদামাটি সরিয়ে চলছে উদ্ধার কাজ। ওয়েনাড়ের (Wayanad) চুরামালার মুন্ডাক্কাইতে জোর কদমে চলছে উদ্ধার কাজ। সেনা বাহিনী, বিপর্য মোকাবিলাকারী দল, পুলিশ, স্থানীয় মানুষ একযোগে পাহাড় পেরিয়ে, কাদামাটি সরিয়ে উদ্ধার কাজ করছে। কোথায় আর কেউ ধ্বংসস্তূপের নীচে রয়েছেন কি না, সে বিষয়ে জোরদার খোঁজ চলছে। প্রসঙ্গত ৩০ জুলাই যে ভূমিধস নামে কেরলের (Kerala) ওয়েনাড়ে, তার জেরে মৃতের সংখ্যা ৩০০ পার করেছে। নিখোঁজ বহু।
