'Bangladeshis Can Stay In India': 'ভারতে থাকতে পারেন বাংলাদেশিরা', সায়েদা হামিদের বক্তব্য ঘিরে তোলপাড়, বিক্ষোভ সোনিয়া ঘনিষ্ঠর বিরুদ্ধে দেখুন
'বাংলাদেশিরা ভারতে বসবাস করতে পারেন ('Bangladeshis Can Stay In India')। পৃথিবীটা অনেক বড়। তাই বাংলাদেশি মানুষ যদি ভারতে থাকেন, তাহলে কারও কোনও অসুবিধা হওয়ার কথা নয়।' অসমে গিয়ে এমনই মন্তব্য করেন সায়েদা হামিদ (Syeda Hameed)।
অসমে গিয়ে বাংলাদেশিদের নিয়ে সওয়াল করেন প্ল্যানিং কমিশনের প্রাক্তন সদস্য তথা মনমোহন সিং সরকারের একজন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সদস্য সায়েদা হামিদ। যিনি কংগ্রেস নেত্রী সোনিয়ার গান্ধীর ঘনিষ্ঠ হিসেবেও পরিচিত।
সায়েদা হামিদের ওই মন্তব্য ঘিরে তোলপাড় শুরু হয়ে যায়। শুধু তাই নয়, এবার সায়েদা হামিদকে দেখে বিক্ষোভ প্রদর্শন করে হিন্দু সেনা-সহ একাধিক সংগঠন। হিন্দু সেনা-সহ একাধিক সংগঠনের সদস্য়রা হাজির হয়ে সায়েদা হামিদের বিরুদ্ধে যেমন স্লোগান দিতে শুরু করেন, তেমনি 'ভারত মাতা কী জয়' স্লোগানও ওঠে তাঁদের মুখে। সবকিছু মিলিয়ে সায়েদা হামিদের বাংলাদেশি বক্তব্যের জেরে জোরদার শোরগোল শুরু হয়।
প্রসঙ্গত গোটা দেশ জুড়ে অবৈধ বেআইনি বাংলাদেশিদের (Illegal Bangladeshi) বিতাড়নের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে। অবৈধ বাংলাদেশি নাগরিকরা কোনওভাবে ভারতে থাকতে পারবেন না বলে স্পষ্ট জানানো হয়েছে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের তরফে। ফলে দিল্লি থেকে অসম, একাধিক রাজ্য থেকে বেআইনি বাংলাদেশি অনুপ্রবেশকারীদের সনাক্ত করে তাঁদের সরানোর কাজ শুরু হয়েছে।
