নয়াদিল্লি রেল স্টেশনে পদপিষ্ট হওয়ার ঘটনায় তদন্তের দাবিতে করা একটি জনস্বার্থ মামলা খারিজ করে দিল সুপ্রিম কোর্ট। আবেদনে অভিযোগ করা হয়েছে যে রেল কর্তৃপক্ষ হতাহতের প্রকৃত সংখ্যা গোপন করছে।
মুম্বই: নয়াদিল্লি রেল স্টেশনে গত ১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি পদপিষ্ট (Stampede) হওয়ার মামলার আবেদন খারিজ করেছে সুপ্রিম কোর্ট (Supreme Court)। আবেদনকারী আনন্দ লিগ্যাল এইড ফোরাম ট্রাস্ট আবেদন করেন যে রেল প্রশাসন মৃতের প্রকৃত সংখ্যা গোপন করছে। আবেদনকারী আদালতকে জানায় যে প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীদের মতে পদদলিত হওয়ার সময় প্রায় ২০০ জনের মৃত্যু হয়। আদালত আবেদনকারীকে জিজ্ঞাসা করে ২০০ জনের মৃত্যুর অভিযোগের প্রমাণ কী? আবেদনকারীর আইনজীবীর বক্তব্য সংক্ষিপ্তভাবে শোনার পর, আদালত আবেদন খারিজ করে দেয়।
