অনিল ভাট বলেন, ‘যুদ্ধ করা বা পাক-অধিকৃত কাশ্মীর পুনরুদ্ধার করার যুদ্ধ হওয়া উচিত সিদ্ধান্তের মাধ্যমে। অপারেশন সিঁদুরের লক্ষ্য এটি নয়। তিনি আরও বলেন, ‘যুদ্ধ একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুতর বিষয়, একটি জাতি তখনই এটির জন্য প্রস্তুত যখন সমস্ত সম্ভাব্য বিকল্প শেষ হয়ে যায়।'
