উপাচার্যকে কটুক্তির অভিযোগে, তৃণমূল ছাত্র পরিষদের সাধারণ সম্পাদক অভিরূপ চক্রবর্তীকে পাঁচ বছরের জন্য ‘সেন্সার’ করেছে কলকাতা বিশ্ব বিদ্যালয়। বিশ্ব বিদ্যালয়ের সিন্ডিকেট বৈঠকে এই সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে বলে ভারপ্রাপ্ত উপাচার্য শান্তা দত্ত দে জানিয়েছেন।এর ফলে ওই ছাত্র বিশ্ব বিদ্যালয় থেকে কোনো কোর্স এমনকি PHD করতে পারবেন না। এছাড়াও বিশ্ব বিদ্যালয়ে চাকরীর আবেদন’ও এই সময়ের মধ্যে অভিরূপ চক্রবর্তী করতে পারবেন না বলে জানানো হয়েছে।
