বেশ কিছু দিন যাবত চলা 'বাংলা দিবস' কবে পালিত হবে সেই দোলাচল এবার মিটল। ১ বৈশাখেই পালিত হবে 'বাংলা দিবস'। বাংলার সঙ্গীত হবে 'বাংলার মাটি বাংলার জল'। বৃহস্পতিবার বিধানসভা অধিবেশনে সেই প্রস্তাব পাস হয়েছে। এদিন অধিবেশন শেষে টুইট করে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় লিখেছেন, 'পয়লা বৈশাখ, বাংলা নববর্ষের শুভ দিন। সেই দিনই আমাদের প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবস হিসাবে পালিত হবে। যা আমাদের সমৃদ্ধ ঐতিহ্য ও প্রাণবন্ত সংস্কৃতির প্রতীক'।
