Mangalyaan: ২০১৪ সালের আজকের দিনেই মঙ্গলের কক্ষপথে প্রবেশ করে ভারতের মঙ্গলযান
ইসরো-র এই মিশনটির উদ্দেশ্য ছিল আন্তঃগ্রহ অনুসন্ধানের জন্য প্রযুক্তি পরীক্ষা করা এবং মঙ্গল গ্রহের পৃষ্ঠের অধ্যয়ন করা।
২০১৪ সালের আজকের দিন অর্থাৎ ২৪ সেপ্টেম্বর ভারতের মকাকাশ গবেষণা সংস্থা ইসরোর-র (ISRO) মঙ্গলযান (Mangalyaan) সফল ভাবে মঙ্গলগ্রহের (Mars) কক্ষপথে প্রবেশ করে ও কার্যক্রম শুরু করে। ২০১৩ সালের ৫ নভেম্বর ভারতীয় সময় রাত ২টো ৩৮ নাগাদ অন্ধ্রপ্রদেশ রাজ্যের শ্রীহরি কোটার সতীশ ধাওয়ান মহাকাশ কেন্দ্র থেকে উৎক্ষেপণ করা হয় মঙ্গলযানের।
