আন্তর্জাতিক শুটিং স্পোর্ট ফেডারেশন (ISSF) আয়োজিত বিশ্ব শুটিং চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপের দ্বিতীয় লেগের উদ্বোধনী দিনেই চমকপ্রদ সাফল্য লাভ করেছে ভারতীয় শ্যুটিং দল। লিমায় অনুষ্ঠিত এই প্রতিযোগিতায় ভারত প্রথম দিনেই একটি করে সোনা, রৌপ্য ও ব্রোঞ্জ পদক জয় করেছে।
মহিলাদের ১০ মিটার এয়ার পিস্তল ইভেন্টে ভারতের শুরুচি সিংহ অলিম্পিক পদক বিজয়ী মনু ভাকেরকে পরাজিত করেছেন। মনু রৌপ্য পদক পেয়েছেন।অন্যদিকে, পুরুষদের ১০ মিটার এয়ার পিস্তল ইভেন্টে সৌরভ চৌধুরী ব্রোঞ্জ জিতেছেন।
