আদালত অবমাননার দায়ে জেল ও জরিমানার শাস্তি হল ভারতের বিখ্যাত শিল্পপতি বিজয় মালিয়া (Vijay Mallya)-র। আর্থিক তছরুপের দায়ে পলাতক বিজয় মালিয়ার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ উঠেছিল ২০১৭ সালে এক মামলায় তিনি তাঁর সন্তানদের যে ৪০ মিলিয়ন বা ৪ কোটি মার্কিন ডলার পাঠিয়েছিলেন, তা তিনি আদালতের কাছে ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে জানাননি।
