পাঞ্জাবে রাষ্ট্রীয় বাল স্বাস্থ্য কর্মক্রম (RBSK) এর অংশ হিসাবে, রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগ জন্মগত হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত শিশুদের ৩৪১টি হার্ট সার্জারি করেছে। পাঞ্জাবের স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ মন্ত্রী, ডাঃ বলবীর সিং বলেছেন যে এই উদ্যোগটি তার সবচেয়ে কমবয়সী নাগরিকদের স্বাস্থ্য এবং তাদের স্বাস্থ্যকর ভবিষ্যত সুরক্ষিত করার লক্ষ্যে। তিনি বলেছিলেন যে ২০২৪-২৫ আর্থিক বছরে রাজ্য জুড়ে মর্যাদাপূর্ণ তালিকাভুক্ত হাসপাতালে সম্পাদিত এই জীবন রক্ষার পদ্ধতিগুলির জন্য ৩.৫২ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করা হয়েছে।
