তিন দিনের মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র সফর সেরে দেশে ফিরলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী (PM Narendra Modi)। নিউ ইয়র্কে কোয়াড সম্মেলনে যোগদান সহ বিভিন্ন দেশের রাষ্ট্রপ্রধানদের সঙ্গে দ্বিপাক্ষিক বৈঠক করে মঙ্গলবার দিল্লি বিমানবন্দরে নামলেন মোদী। আমেরিকার প্রেসিডেন্ট জো বাইডেন, জাপানের প্রধানমন্ত্রী ফুমিয়ো কিশিদা এবং অস্ট্রেলিয়ার প্রধানমন্ত্রী অ্যান্টনি আলবানিসের সঙ্গে কোয়াড সম্মেলনে বৈঠক করেন মোদী। আগামী বছর কোয়াড সম্মেলন হতে চলেছে ভারতে।
কোয়াড সম্মেলনের ভাষণে মোদী বলেছিলেন, "এমন একটা সময়ে আমাদের এই বৈঠক হচ্ছে, যখন বিশ্বের নানা প্রান্তে উদ্বেগ, উত্তেজনা এবং সংঘর্ষের বাতাবরণ রয়েছে। এহেন পরিস্থিতিতে কোয়াড একসঙ্গে মিলে কাজ করছে মানবতার স্বার্থে, গণতান্ত্রিক মূল্যবোধের ভিত্তিতে। বিশ্বশান্তির জন্য কোয়াড তাই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।"বিজেপির পক্ষ থেকে দাবি করা হয়েছে, মোদীর মার্কিন সফর দারুণ সফল হয়েছে। এবার হরিয়ানা বিধানসভা নির্বাচনের প্রচারে দেখা যেতে পারে মোদীকে।
