নয়াদিল্লি: সুপ্রিম কোর্টের (Supreme Court) প্রধান বিচারপতি হলেন ভারতের বিচার ব্যবস্থার প্রধান। ভারতের বর্তমান প্রধান বিচারপতি ডিওয়াই চন্দ্রচূড় (Chief Justice DY Chandrachud) ২০২২ সালে ৯ নভেম্বর ভারতের প্রধান বিচারপতি হিসেবে নিযুক্ত হন । তিনি ভারতের ৫০তম প্রধান বিচারপতি। আগামী ১১ নভেম্বর সুপ্রিম কোর্টের প্রধান বিচারপতি ডি ওয়াই চন্দ্রচূড় অবসর (Retirement) নেবেন। অবসর নেওয়ার আগে তিনি

আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে বিচারপতি সঞ্জীব খান্নাকে (Justice Sanjiv Khanna) প্রধান বিচারপতির চেয়ারে বসানোর প্রস্তাব করেছেন। কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের কাছে একটি যোগাযোগে, প্রধান বিচারপতি চন্দ্রচূড় বলেছেন যে যেহেতু তিনি ১১ নভেম্বর পদত্যাগ করছেন, বিচারপতি খান্না তাঁর উত্তরসূরি হবেন। সরকারি অনুমোদন মিললে বিচারপতি খান্না ভারতের ৫১তম প্রধান বিচারপতি হবেন।  দেখুন-
