বিহার জুড়ে বিক্ষোভের ডাক দিল রাষ্ট্রীয় জনতা দল। কয়েকদিন আগে রাষ্ট্রীয় জনতা দলের নেতা এবং বিহারের প্রাক্তন উপ-মুখ্যমন্ত্রী তেজস্বী যাদব বলেছিলেন যে তাঁর দল ১ সেপ্টেম্বর সংবিধানের নবম তফসিলে ২০২৩ সালে পরিচালিত জাত সমীক্ষার ফলাফলগুলি অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার দাবিতে একটি আন্দোলন করবে। আজ সকাল থেকে সেই আন্দোলনে সামিল হয়েছে আরজেডি। শুধু জাত সমীক্ষা নয় তাঁর পাশাপাশি বিহারে ৬৫% কোটা বৃদ্ধি করার দাবিতে আরজেডি রাজ্যব্যাপী একদিনের বিক্ষোভের ডাক দিয়েছে।বিহার বিধানসভা ২০২৩ সালে উভয় আইন সংশোধন করেছিল এবং চাকরি এবং উচ্চ শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে সংরক্ষণ ৫০ শতাংশ থেকে বাড়িয়ে ৬৫ শতাংশ করে দিয়েছিল।
