সূর্যগ্রহণের কারণে ২৫ অক্টোবর সকাল ১১টা থেকে ৭টা পর্যন্ত বন্ধ থাকবে মাদুরাইয়ের মীনাক্ষী সুন্দরেশ্বর মন্দির
তামিলনাড়ুঃ দিওয়ালির পরের দিন অর্থাৎ ২৫শে অক্টোবর মঙ্গলবার সারা দেশ পূর্ণগ্রাস সূর্যগ্রহণের সাক্ষী হবে। সেই সূর্যগ্রহণের কারণেই ২৫ অক্টোবর সকাল ১১টা থেকে ৭টা পর্যন্ত বন্ধ থাকবে মাদুরাইয়ের মীনাক্ষী সুন্দরেশ্বর মন্দির। সকাল ১১টার আগে এবং সন্ধ্যা ৭টার পর ভক্তদের মন্দিরে প্রবেশের অনুমতি দেওয়া হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন মন্দির কর্তৃপক্ষ। এই নিয়মটি মীনাক্ষী সুন্দরেশ্বর মন্দিরের সমস্ত উপ-মন্দিরের ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য হবে বলেও জানিয়েছেন তাঁরা।
