মইরাংয়ের আশ্রয় শিবিরের মানুষের সঙ্গে দেখা করে রাজ্যপালের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করেন রাহুল গান্ধী। কংগ্রেস নেতা বলেন, মণিপুর শান্তি চায়। উত্তর-পূর্বের এই রাজ্য়ে যাতে শান্তি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়, সেই আশা প্রকাশ করেন রাহুল। তিনি আরও বলেন, মণিপুরে এসে তিনি আশ্রয় শিবিরগুলিতে গিয়েছেন, সেখানকার মানুষের সঙ্গে কথা বলেছেন। তবে আশ্রয় শিবিরের ঘাটতি রয়েছে চাহিদা অনুযায়ী। সরকারের এ বিষয়ে লক্ষ্য করা উচিত বলে মন্তব্য করেন রাহুল।
