২৭ আসনে জিতে মিজোরাম দখল জোরাম পিপলস মুভমেন্টের। আর বিদায়ী মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জোরামথাঙ্গার দল এমএনএফ-এর ঝুলিতে গিয়েছে ১০টি আসন। বিজেপি জিতেছে ২টি আসনে। গতবার গেরুয়া শিবির মিজোরামের ১টি আসনে জিতেছিল। আর কংগ্রেস এবারে পেয়েছে মাত্র ১টি আসন। গতবার সেই আসন সংখ্যা ছিল ৫। উল্লেখযোগ্য ভাবে পূর্ব মিজোরামের প্রায় গোটাটাই দখল করেছে জোরাম পিপলস মুভমেন্ট। এদিকে পশ্চিম মিজোরামের প্রায় পুরোটাই দখল করেছে মিজো ন্যাশনাল ফ্রন্ট।পরবর্তী মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হতে পারেন লালডুহোমা
