বেশ কয়েক মাস অসহ্য গরমের পর বেঙ্গালুরুতে নেমেছে বৃষ্টি। কয়েকটা দিন তুমুল বৃষ্টির পর শহরের একাংশ জলের তলাতেও চলে গিয়েছিল। আর বৃষ্টি নামার পর বেঙ্গালুরুবাসীদের মধ্যে ছড়িয়েছে সাপ নিয়ে আতঙ্ক।
বেশ কয়েক মাস অসহ্য গরমের পর বেঙ্গালুরুতে নেমেছে বৃষ্টি। কয়েকটা দিন তুমুল বৃষ্টির পর শহরের একাংশ জলের তলাতেও চলে গিয়েছিল। আর বৃষ্টি নামার পর বেঙ্গালুরুবাসীদের মধ্যে ছড়িয়েছে সাপ নিয়ে আতঙ্ক। রোজই শহরের কোনও না অংশ থেকে আসছে সাপ বের হওয়ার খবর। কারও রান্নাঘর, তো কারও বাথরুম, কিংবা কারও গ্যারেজ ও গাড়ির ভিতর থেকে উদ্ধার করা হচ্ছে সাপেদের।
বেঙ্গালুরু শহরে কর্ণাটকের জীব-প্রাণী উদ্ধারকারীদের অফিসে ঘনঘন ফোন বেজেই চলেছে। সাপ ধরার কাজে বিশারদরা এখন খুব ব্যস্ত। ফোন বাজলেই গাড়ি করে তার পৌঁছে যাচ্ছেন সাপ ধরতে।
