ফের প্রকৃতির রুদ্র রূপের শিকার জম্মু কাশ্মীর (Jammu And Kashmir)। এবার ডোডা (Doda) জেলায় মেঘভাঙা (Cloudburst) বৃষ্টিতে প্লাবন নেমে আসে। মেঘভাঙা বৃষ্টিতে জলস্তর বিপদসীমার উপর দিয়ে বইতে শুরু করে চেনাব নদীতে। যার জেরে হঠাৎ বন্যা শুরু হয় ডোডা জেলায়। চেনাবের পাশাপাশি কালনাই নদীর জলস্তর ফুলে ফেঁপে ওঠে। ফলে পাহাড়ে ঢাল বেয়ে সেই বন্যার জল হু হু করে স্রোত হয়ে নীচে নেমে আসতে শুরু করে।
ডোডা জেলায় মেঘভাঙা বৃষ্টি শুরু হলে তার জেরে প্রায় সর্বত্র ধস নামতে শুরু করে। পাহাড় ভেঙে ভূমিধস নামতে শুরু করে একাধিক এলাকায়। ফলে সাধারণ মানুষের জীবন বিপর্যস্ত হয়ে পড়তে শুরু করে।
