Bharat Jodo Yatra: সাংসদ সন্তোখ চৌধুরীর মৃত্যুতে স্থগিত কংগ্রেসের ভারত জোড়ো যাত্রা
ভারত জোড়ো যাত্রায় পায়ে হায়ে এগিয়ে চলার সময় হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যু হল জলন্ধরের কংগ্রেস সাংসদ সন্তোষ সিং চৌধুরী।
ভারত জোড়ো যাত্রায় পঞ্জাব পর্বে বড় অঘটন। যাত্রায় পায়ে হায়ে এগিয়ে চলার সময় হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যু হল জলন্ধরের কংগ্রেস সাংসদ সন্তোখ সিং চৌধুরীর। শনিবার সকালে রাহুল গান্ধীর সঙ্গেই ভারত জোড়ো যাত্রায় সামিল হয়েছিলেন। ফিল্লাউর এলাকা দিয়ে হাঁটার সময় আচমকাই তিনি অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েন। তাঁর হার্ট অ্যাটাক হয়। লুধিয়ানার হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গেলে চিকিৎসকরা তাঁকে মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করেন।
আচমকাই ঘটে যাওয়া এই মৃত্যুর খবর শোকের ছায়া নেমে আসে। বাতিল করা হয় আজকের যাত্রার যাবতীয় কর্মসূচি। আগামিকাল, রবিবার সাংসদ সন্তোষ সিংয়ের শেষকৃত্য হবে। শেষকৃত্যের কাজ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত স্থগিত রাখা হয়েছে 'ভারত জোড়ো যাত্রা'।
