Bengaluru: অবিরাম বৃষ্টিতে হুড়মুড়িয়ে ভেঙে পড়ল নির্মীয়মাণ আবাসন, ধ্বংসস্তূপের নীচে আটকে শ্রমিকেরা
বৃষ্টি থেকে বাঁচার জন্যে নির্মীয়মাণ ভবনটির নীচেই আশ্রয় নিয়েছিলেন শ্রমিকেরা। আর সেই ভবনই ভেঙে পড়ে তাঁদের উপর।
কয়েক দিন যাবত টানা বৃষ্টিতে ভিজছে কর্ণাটকের (Karnataka) বিস্তীর্ণ এলাকা। এরই মাঝে বেঙ্গালুরুর (Bengaluru) হেন্নুরের কাছে বাবুসাপল্যায় একটি নির্মীয়মাণ আবাসন ভেঙে পড়ে। অবিরাম বৃষ্টির জেরে আবাসন ভেঙে পড়ার ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে বলে জানা যাচ্ছে। ধ্বংসস্তূপের নীচে আটকে পড়েন প্রায় ১৭ জন নির্মাণ কর্মী। দুর্ঘটনার খবর পাওয়া মাত্রই ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছেছে পুলিশ এবং উদ্ধারকারী দল। ধ্বংসস্তূপ সরিয়ে শ্রমিকদের উদ্ধার অভিযান চলছে। উদ্ধারকাজে হাত লাগিয়েছেন স্থানীয়রাও। পুলিশ জানাচ্ছে, বৃষ্টি থেকে বাঁচার জন্যে নির্মীয়মাণ ভবনটির নীচেই আশ্রয় নিয়েছিলেন শ্রমিকেরা। আর সেই ভবনই ভেঙে পড়ে তাঁদের উপর। দুর্বল নির্মাণ কাজের জন্যেই ভবনটি ভেঙে পড়েছে বলে জানাচ্ছে পুলিশ।
