Kenya Flood: কেনিয়ায় বন্যায় কমপক্ষে ৩৮ জনের মৃত্যু, জলের তলায় রাজধানী নাইরোবি (দেখুন ভিডিও)
গত সপ্তাহ থেকে বৃষ্টির পরিমাণ বৃদ্ধি পাওয়ায় বন্যা ভয়াবহ আকার নিয়েছে। রাজধানী নাইরোবির কিছু রাস্তা গতকাল বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়।ট্রেন পরিষেবাও স্থগিত রাখা হয়েছে।
গত কয়েক সপ্তাহে পূর্ব আফ্রিকা অঞ্চলে ভারী বৃষ্টির কারণে আকস্মিক বন্যা পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয়েছে।সাম্প্রতিক এল নিনোর কারণে গত সপ্তাহ থেকে চলা কেনিয়ায় অবিরাম বৃষ্টির কারণে সৃষ্ট বন্যায় মৃতের সংখ্যা বেড়ে হয়েছে ৩৮। প্রশাসন সূত্রে খবর দেশের প্রায় ১ লক্ষ ১০ হাজারেরও বেশি মানুষ এই বন্যার কারণে ঘরছাড়া হয়েছেন । গত সপ্তাহ থেকে বৃষ্টির পরিমাণ বৃদ্ধি পাওয়ায় বন্যা ভয়াবহ আকার নিয়েছে। রাজধানী নাইরোবির কিছু রাস্তা গতকাল বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়।ট্রেন পরিষেবাও স্থগিত রাখা হয়েছে। দেশের কিছু অংশে ভারী থেকে অতিভারী বৃষ্টির সতর্কতা জারি করেছে আবহাওয়া দপ্তর।নাইরোবির রাস্তা-ঘাটে বন্যার জলে বহু যানবাহন আটকে পড়েছে।কেনিয়ার আবহাওয়া বিভাগ সতর্ক করেছে যে, মে মাস পর্যন্ত দেশে ভারী থেকে অতিভারী বৃষ্টি হতে পারে।
