হামাসের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধের মাঝে ফের নতুন করে চোখ রাঙানি ইজরায়েলে। হামাস জঙ্গিদের সঙ্গে লড়াইয়ের মাঝে ইজরায়েল-লেবাননের যে সীমান্ত রয়েছে, সেখানে হামলা শুরু করেছে হেজবুল্লা জঙ্গিরা। ইরানের মদতপুষ্ট হেজবুল্লা জঙ্গিরা ইজরায়েল, লেবানেন সীমান্ত থেকে ইজরায়েল সেনা বাহিনীর উপর হামলা শুরু করেছে। ফলে হামাস জঙ্গিদের পাশাপাশি আরও একাধিক সন্ত্রাসবাদীদের সঙ্গে লড়তে হচ্ছে ইজরায়েলি সেনা বাহিনীকে।

ইরান থেকে ইজরায়েল এবং হামাসের দ্বন্দ্বের মাঝে নাক না গলায়, সে বিষয়ে সতর্ক করা হয় আমেরিকার তরফে। মার্কিন সতর্কতার পর ইরানের প্রধান ধর্মগুরু আয়তুল্লা আলি খোমেইনি স্পষ্ট জানান, ইজরায়েল, হামাসের যুদ্ধে তেহরান কোনওভাবে জড়িত থাকবে না।
