গুরু পূর্ণিমায় (Guru Purnima) মার্কিন মুলুকে বিরল ছবি। আমেরিকা যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের টেক্সাসের আলেন ইস্ট সেন্টারে একসঙ্গে দশ হাজার মানুষ ভগবত গীতা পাঠ ( Bhagavad Gita Recite) করলেন। আমেরিকা যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে এমন একসঙ্গে জমায়েত হয়ে এত বড় মাপের গীতা পাঠের অনুষ্ঠান হয়নি বলে দাবি উদ্যোক্তাদের। এই গীতা পাঠের আয়োজন করে 'যোগা সঙ্গীত ট্রাস্ট আমেরিকা' (Yoga Sangeeta Trust America) এবং 'এসজিসি গীতা ফাউন্ডেশন' (SGS Geeta Foundation)।
