বার্বাডোসে (Barbados) আছড়ে পড়ল হারিকেল বেরিল (Beryl )। ক্যাটাগরি ৪ পর্যায়ের হারিকেন আছড়ে পড়ে ক্যারিবিয়ান দ্বীপে। রবিবার রাতে আছড়ে পড়ে হারিকেন বেরিল। বর্তমানে ১৩০ কিলোমিটার বেগে প্রচণ্ড গতিবেগে ঝড় বইতে শুরু করেছে বার্বাডোসে। ফলে ক্যারিবিয়ান দ্বীপের সমস্ত বিমানবন্দর বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়েছে। জানা যায়, বিশ্বকাপ জয়ের পর ভারতীয় ক্রিকট দল যখন বার্বাডোস ছেড়ে দেশে আসার প্রস্তুতি শুরু করে, সেই সময় তাঁদের সেখানেই থাকতে হচ্ছে আপাতত অতি তীব্র হারিকেনের প্রভাবে। খেলোয়াড়দের পাশাপাশি ভারত থেকে সাংবাদিকরা বার্বাডোসে যান, তাঁরাও সেখানে আটকে পড়েন বলে জানা যায়।
