প্রশাসন সূত্রের খবর, প্রাকৃতিক এই বিপর্যয়ে ছ’শোটি বাড়ি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত অথবা সম্পূর্ণ ধ্বংস হয়ে গেছে। প্রায় ৬০০ কিলোমিটার রাস্তা ভেসে গেছে জলের তোড়ে । দু-হাজার একরের মতো কৃষি জমি এখনও জলের তলায়।
গত তিনদিনের অবিরাম বৃষ্টি ও হরপা বানে অন্ততপক্ষে ৩৩ জনের মৃত্যু হল আফগানিস্থানে। এখনও অবধি জখম হয়েছেন ২৭ জন। বিপর্যয় ব্যবস্থাপনা দপ্তরের এক মুখপাত্র বলেছেন, বৃষ্টি ও হরপা বানে বহু জীবনহানি ও আর্থিক ক্ষতি হয়েছে। প্রশাসন সূত্রের খবর, প্রাকৃতিক এই বিপর্যয়ে ছ’শোটি বাড়ি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত অথবা সম্পূর্ণ ধ্বংস হয়ে গেছে। প্রায় ৬০০ কিলোমিটার রাস্তা ভেসে গেছে জলের তোড়ে । দু-হাজার একরের মতো কৃষি জমি এখনও জলের তলায়। দেশের ৩৪টি অঞ্চলের মধ্যে কুড়িটির মতো প্রদেশ প্রচন্ড বৃষ্টিতে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে ।
