চীনের একটি মাছ ধরার জাহাজ ৩৯ জন নাবিকসহ ভারত মহাসাগরে ডুবে গেছে এবং প্রেসিডেন্ট জি জিনপিং নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন, জীবিতদের খুঁজে বের করার জন্য সব ধরনের চেষ্টা করা হবে। চিনের সরকারি সংবাদ সংস্থা CCTV-এর খবরে বলা হয়েছে, শানডং প্রদেশের পেংলাই জিংলু ফিশারি কো লিমিটেডের মালিকানাধীন দূরপাল্লার মাছ ধরার জাহাজ 'লুপেং ইউয়ানিউ ০২৮' মঙ্গলবার ভোরে ডুবে যায়। এর মধ্যে ৩৯ জন আরোহীর মধ্যে ১৭ জন চীনা, ১৭ জন ইন্দোনেশিয়ার এবং ৫ জন ফিলিপিন্সের নাগরিক। চিনের প্রেসিডেন্ট জি জিনপিং আরও বলেন, দূরবর্তী সমুদ্র অভিযানের জন্য নিরাপত্তা ঝুঁকির আগাম সতর্কবার্তা জোরদার করা হবে। চীনের মেরিটাইম সার্চ অ্যান্ড রেসকিউ সেন্টার লঙ্কা, মালদ্বীপ, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, ফিলিপাইন ও অন্যান্য দেশগুলোকে দুর্ঘটনার কথা জানিয়েছে সাহায্যের জন্য।
