দীপাবলির রাতে ভারতীয় এবং খালিস্তানিদের মধ্যে বিবাদ ছড়াল। কানাডার মিসিগুয়ায় ভারতীয় এবং খালিস্তানি সমর্থকরা যখন পতাকা নিয়ে রাস্তায় নামেন, আচমকাই তাঁদের মধ্যে বিবাদ বাধে। মিসিগুয়ার পিল রিজিওনাল পুলিশের তরফে জানানো হয়, কানাডায় ভারতীয় বংশোদ্ভুদরা যখন তিরঙ্গা তুলতে থাকেন, সেই সময় খালিস্তানিদের দেখা যায় পৃথক পতাকা নিয়ে বিবাদে জড়িয়ে পড়তে। সোমবার মিসিগুয়ায় ওই ঘটনা চোখে পড়তেই উত্তেজনা ছড়ায়। পাশাপাশি ভারতীয় এবং খালিস্তানিদের বিবাদের ভিডিয়ো সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় ভাইরাল হতে শুরু করে। পুলিশ সূত্রে খবর, সোমবার মিসিগুয়ায় ৪০০ থেকে ৫০০ বিক্ষোভকারী হাজির ছিলেন।
