সম্প্রতি মেক্সিকোর সমুদ্র সৈকতে ভেসে আসে ওরফিস (Oarfish)। যাকে 'ডুমসডে ফিসও' ('Doomsday' Fish) বলা হয়। মেক্সিকোর সমুদ্র সৈকতে এই ডুমসডে ফিস ভেসে আসতেই তা নিয়ে বিশ্ব জুড়ে তোলপাড় শুরু হয়েছে। ভূমিকম্প (Earthquake) বা সুনামির আগে এই ধরনের ওরফিস দেখা যায় সমুদ্র (Ocean) সৈকতে। সমুদ্রের তলদেশে থাকা এই বিরল প্রজাতির মাছ কোনও প্রাকৃতিক বিপর্যয়ের আগে বিপদ অনুধাবন করে, তবেই সৈকতে ভেসে আসে। এবারও তার অন্যথা হয়নি। মেক্সিকোর সমুদ্র সৈকতে ভেসে আসে হালকা আকাশী এবং রুপোলি রঙের ওই মাছ। ডুমসডে ফিস নামের ওই বিরল প্রজাতির মাছের হাজিরা যে কোনও ধরনের অশনি সঙ্কেত বয়ে নিয়ে আসছে বলে অনুমান করা হয়। এবার সেই আশঙ্কাতেই কাঁপছে প্রায় গোটা বিশ্ব।
