আরজি কর কাণ্ডে রাজ্য সরকারের ভূমিকায় হতাশ হয়ে রাজ্যসভার সাংসদ হিসেবে ইস্তফা দিয়েছেন জহর সরকার (Jawhar Sircar)। এবার এই ইস্যুতে সংবাদসংস্থা ANI-কে দেওয়া সাক্ষাতকারে জহর সরকার বললেন, "আমি রাজনীতির পক্ষে অনুপযুক্ত। রাজ্যে যে অচলাবস্থা চলছে সেটা সরকারের বোঝা উচিত। প্রথম দিনেই যখন আরজি করের অধ্যক্ষের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগের পর যদি কঠোর ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হতো, তাহলে ওদের শক্তি অর্ধেক হয়ে যেত। কিন্তু শাস্তির বদলে ওকে অন্য জায়গায় সরিয়ে পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়। এবং তারপর আন্দোলনে ঝড় শুরু হয়। আমার এই সিদ্ধান্ত দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণের সেরা উপায়।"
