নকশায় আধুনিকতার ছোঁয়া আনায় দেশের সেরা হল বাংলার ‘তন্তুজ’। জাতীয় তাঁত দিবসে কেন্দ্রীয় বস্ত্রমন্ত্রক থেকে এই পুরস্কার পাবে তন্তুজ। বৃহস্পতিবার নবান্ন ও তন্তুজকে চিঠি দিয়ে কেন্দ্র তরফে এই খবর জানানো হয়েছে। টুইটবার্তায় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বাংলার তাঁত শিল্পের সর্বোচ্চ সমিতির সাফল্যের কথা জানিয়েছেন।
টুইটবার্তায় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী লিখেছেন, ‘আনন্দের সঙ্গে এখবর ভাগ করে নিতে পেরে খুশি যে, আমাদের রাজ্যের তাঁত শিল্পের সর্বোচ্চ সমিতি, তন্তুজ, ভারত সরকারের বস্ত্র মন্ত্রকের কাছ থেকে জাতীয় তাঁত দিবসে তাঁত পণ্যের নকশা উন্নয়নের জন্য জাতীয় পুরস্কার পাবে।’

নবান্নকে কেন্দ্রী জানিয়েছে, ডিজাইন ডেভেলপমেন্ট অব হ্যান্ডলুম প্রোডাক্টে ২০১৮ সালে সংস্থাগতভাবে ন্যাশনাল অ্যাওয়ার্ড পেল তন্তুজ। আর ব্যক্তিগতভাবে পুরস্কৃত হয়েছেন নদীয়ার শিল্পী বীরেন বসাক।
