'মহিলাদের জন্য সবচেয়ে সুরক্ষিত রাজ্য পশ্চিমবঙ্গ (West Bengal) '। রাজ্যের বেশ কিছু জায়গায় এদিক ওদিককার ঘটনা ঘটছে ঠিকই কিন্তু সরকার তা সমর্থন করে না। জেপি নাড্ডা (JP Nadda) আগে বলুন, মহিলাদের জন্য মণিপুর সুরক্ষিত না সুরক্ষিত নয় বলেও কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রীকে প্রশ্ন করেন চন্দ্রিমা ভট্টাচার্য (Chandrima Bhattacharya)। প্রসঙ্গত চোপড়ার (Chopra) দীঘলগাঁওয়ে বিবাহ বহির্ভূত সম্পর্কের নাম করে এক মহিলাকে প্রকাশ্যে বেদম মারধর করা হয়। অত্যন্ত নির্মমভাবে ওই মহিলাকে মারধর করা হয়। এমন একটি ভিডিয়ো সামনে আসে। যা নিয়ে তোলপাড় হয়ে যায় গোটা রাজ্য-সহ দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চল। চোপড়ার ঘটনা নিয়ে যখন জেপি নাড্ডা তোপ দাগেন, সেই সময় মণিপুরে মহিলাদের সুরক্ষা নিয়েতাঁকে পালটা প্রশ্ন করেন রাজ্যের মন্ত্রী চন্দ্রিমা ভট্টাচার্য।
