প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী সম্প্রতি দাবি করেছিলেন যে বাংলার জন্য অর্থ বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে। তারপরেই এই নিয়ে সরব হন তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় (Abhishek Banerjee)। তিনি বিজেপি নেতৃত্বকে খোলা চ্যালেঞ্জ জানিয়েছিলেন যে যদি সত্যি অর্থ বরাদ্দ করে থাকে তাহলে সেই টাকা বাংলার মানুষদের জন্য এখনই পাঠাতে হবে। কিন্তু ১৭৫ ঘন্টা কেটে গেলেও কেন্দ্র সরকার কোনও পদক্ষেপ নেয়নি। এমনটাই দাবি তৃণমূলের মুখপাত্র তথা সাংসদ শান্তনু সেনের (Shantanu Sen)। তাঁর দাবি, কেন্দ্র সরকার কেন বিজেপির রাজ্য নেতৃত্বেরও এই নিয়ে মুখ খোলার সাহস নেই।
