খো খো-তে বিশ্বচ্যাম্পিয়ন হল ভারতের মহিলা দল। প্রথম খো খো বিশ্বকাপের ফাইনালে নেপালকে হারিয়ে খেতাব জিতলেন ভারতীয় মহিলারা। রবিবার দিল্লির ইন্দিরা গান্ধী স্টেডিয়ামে আয়োজিত ফাইনালে নেপালকে ৭৮-৪০ হারিয়ে প্রথমবার খেতাব জিতল প্রিয়াঙ্কা ইঙ্গলের দল। এদিন এই ফাইনালে একটা সময় ভারতীয় মহিলা দল ৩৪-০ এগিয়ে ছিল। কিন্তু সেখান থেকে দুরন্ত কামব্যাক করে ৩৫-২৪ ব্যবধান কমিয়ে এনেছিলেন নেপালের মেয়েরা। তবে শেষ পর্যন্ত কাপ জিততে অসুবিধা হয়নি ভারতের মহিলাদের। পুরো টুর্নামেন্টে সব কটি ম্যাচেই একাধিপত্য দেখিয়ে চ্যাম্পিয়ন হলেন প্রিয়াঙ্কারা। গ্রুপের খেলায় দক্ষিণ কোরিয়াকে ১৭৫-১৮, ইরানকে ১০০-১৬, মালয়েশিয়াকে ১০০-২০-তে হারিয়ে একপেশে জয় পেয়েছিলেন ভারতের মহিলারা। গ্রুপ চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়ে নেমে সেমিফাইনালে দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকাকে ৬৬-১৬ হারিয়ে ছিলেন ভারতের মহিলারা।
এখন পুরুষদের খো খো-র ফাইনালে নেপালের বিরুদ্ধে খেলথছে ভারতীয় পুরুষ দল।
