Swami Vivekananda 163rd Birth Anniversary: আজ স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের ১৬৩তম জন্মদিন, কলকাতার বাড়িতে সকাল থেকেই চলছে জন্মবার্ষিকী উদযাপন (দেখুন ভিডিও)
১৮৬৩ সালের ১২ জানুয়ারি কলকাতার সিমলা অঞ্চলে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন বিশ্বনাথ দত্তের পুত্র নরেন্দ্রনাথ দত্ত। নরেন্দ্রনাথ খুব অল্প বয়সেই আধ্যাত্মিকতার পথ অবলম্বন করেছিলেন। আধ্যাত্মিক পথ অবলম্বন করার পর তিনি স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ নামে পরিচিত হন। যুব সমাজের পথ প্রদর্শক স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের জন্মদিন ভারতীয় সংস্কৃতি ও ঐতিহ্য অনুযায়ী প্রতি বছর রামকৃষ্ণ মিশন, রামকৃষ্ণ মঠ এবং এর অনেক শাখা কেন্দ্রে পালিত হয়। আধুনিক ভারতের স্থপতি স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের জন্মদিন স্মরণ করার জন্য প্রতি বছর ১২ জানুয়ারি স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ জয়ন্তী পালিত হয়। বিবেকানন্দের জন্মদিনটি দেশে জাতীয় যুব দিবস হিসেবে পালিত হয়।
আজ সকাল থেকেই কলকাতায় তাঁর বাড়ির সামনে তাঁর অনুরাগী ভক্তদের ভিড় দেখা যায়। সকলে তাঁর মূর্তিতে পুষ্পপ্রদান করেন।
