ভারতে (India) এই প্রথম কোনও রোগীর দেহ থেকে একটি বিশেষ চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতির মাধ্যমে ক্যানসার(Cancer) নির্মূল করা গিয়েছে বলে খবর। ভারতে এই প্রথম কোনও রোগীর উপর CAR-T cell therapy প্রয়োগ করে তাঁকে ক্যানসার মুক্ত বলে ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে বলে জানা যাচ্ছে। CAR-T cell therapy এর প্রয়োগ করতে বিদেশে যেখানে ৪ কোটি খরচ, সেখানে ভারতে সেই অঙ্কের পরিমাণ ৪২ লক্ষ। এই ৪২ লক্ষের বিনিময়ে CAR-T cell therapy প্রয়োগ করে এক রোগীকে ক্যানসার মুক্ত করা হয়েছে বলে খবর।
