আসন্ন হরিয়ানা বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে জুলানা কেন্দ্র থেকে প্যারিস অলিম্পিকে অসাধারণ পারফরম্যান্স করা কুস্তিগীর বিনেশ ফোগাট-কে প্রার্থী করেছে কংগ্রেস।
আসন্ন হরিয়ানা বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে (Haryana Assembly Elections 2024) জুলানা কেন্দ্র থেকে প্যারিস অলিম্পিকে অসাধারণ পারফরম্যান্স করা কুস্তিগীর বিনেশ ফোগাট (Vinesh Phogt)-কে প্রার্থী করেছে কংগ্রেস। এবার বিনেশকে হারাতে এয়ার ইন্ডিয়ার প্রাক্তন পাইলট যোগেশ বৈরাগী (Yogesh Bairagi)-কে প্রার্থী করল বিজেপি। ৩৫ বছরের ক্যাপ্টেন যোগেশ বৈরাগী চেন্নাইয়ের ভয়াবহ বন্যায় ত্রান ও উদ্ধারকাজে বড় ভূমিকা নিয়েছিলেন। পাশাপাশি কোভিডের সময় বিদেশ থেকে ভারতীয়দের ফিরিয়ে আনার 'বন্দে ভারত' মিশনেও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ছিলেন ঝিন্দের বাসিন্দা পাইলট যোগেশ।
গত ৪ সেপ্টেম্বর হরিয়ানা নির্বাচনের প্রথম দফায় ৬৭টি আসনে প্রার্থী ঘোষণা করে বিজেপি। এরপর এদিন ২১টি আসনে প্রার্থীদের নাম জানাল গেরুয়া শিবির। আগামী ৫ অক্টোবর হরিয়ানায় এক দফায় ৯০টি আসনে ভোটগ্রহণ হবে।
