হিমাচলের (Himachal Pradesh) পাশাপাশি এবার উত্তরাখণ্ডেও (Uttarakhand) শুরু হয়েছে মেঘভাঙা (Cloudburst) বৃষ্টি। উত্তরাখণ্ডে মেঘভাঙা বৃ্ষ্টির জেরে এবার ৩ জনের মৃত্যুর খবর পাওয়া যায়। বৃহস্পতিবার উত্তরাখণ্ডের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী পুষ্কর সিং ধামি বলেন, মেঘভাঙা বৃষ্টিতে ৩ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। ভয়াবহ বৃষ্টির জেরে রাজ্যের একাধিক সেতুর ক্ষয়ক্ষতি হয়েছে বলে জানান উত্তরাখণ্ডের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। উদ্ধার কাজ শুরু হয়েছে জোর কদমে। যে সমস্ত মানুষ শরণার্থী শিবিরে রয়েছেন, তাঁদের যাতে কোনও ধরনের অসুবিধার মধ্যে পড়তে না হয়, সে বিষয়ে কড়া নজর রাখা হয়েছে বলেও উত্তরাখণ্ডের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জানান।
