সীমান্ত এলাকায় মাদক পাচারের ঘটনা ক্রমশ বেড়ে চলেছে। এবার এই ধরনের চক্রের সঙ্গে যাঁরা যুক্ত তাঁদের বিরুদ্ধে নজিরবিহীন দৃষ্টান্ত উত্তরপ্রদেশের আদালত।
সীমান্ত এলাকায় মাদক পাচারের ঘটনা (Drug Trafficking Case) ক্রমশ বেড়ে চলেছে। এবার এই ধরনের চক্রের সঙ্গে যাঁরা যুক্ত তাঁদের বিরুদ্ধে নজিরবিহীন দৃষ্টান্ত উত্তরপ্রদেশের আদালত। ২০২০ সালের একটি মামলায় দুই পাচারকারীর বিরুদ্ধে ১৫ বছরের কারাদণ্ডের নির্দেশ দিল বাহারইচের এনডিপিএস আদালত। সেই সঙ্গে ২ লক্ষ টাকা করে জরিমানাও ঘোষণা করা হয়। জানা যাচ্ছে, একটি মাদক পাচার মামলায় উত্তরপ্রদেশের ভারত-নেপাল সীমান্ত এলাকা থেকে আটক করা হয় জ্ঞান চাঁদ ও তিলক সুনার নামে দুই অভিযুক্তকে। সেই মামলার তদন্তভার ছিল এনসিবি-র হাতে। অবশেষে বৃহস্পতিবার এই মামলার রায়দাল করলেন আদালতের বিচারপতি।
