মানুষের বিপদে মানুষ ঠিকই পাশে দাঁড়ায় এই স্বার্থপরতার যুগেও। সেই কথা আরও একবার প্রমাণ হল। উত্তর প্রদেশের সাহরণপুরে খননের কাজে মাল বোঝাই করা একটি ট্র্য়াক নদী পাড় হচ্ছিল। কিন্তু আচমকাই বন্যায় নদীর জলের তোড় ঢুকে পড়ে সেখানে। ট্রাকটির নদীর জলে আটকে পড়ে। জলস্তর ক্রমশ বাড়তে বাড়তে ট্র্যাকটির জলের তলায় যেতে থাকে। তুমুল বৃষ্টিতে জল যত বাড়তে থাকে ট্রাকটি ততই জলের তলায় ঢুকে যেতে শুরু করে। জীবন বাঁচাতে ট্রাকটির ছাদে উঠে পড়ে জীবন বাঁচানোর জন্য সাহায্য চাইতে থাকেন চালক ও তার সহকারী। সেই চিতকার শুনে স্থানীয় গ্রামবাসীরা তাদের উদ্ধার করতে ছুটে আসে। বিশেষ কায়দায় দড়ি ফেলে তাদের উদ্ধার করে।
