বৃহস্পতিবার কোচবিহারের পর রবিবার ধূপগুড়িতে সভা করতে এলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী (Narendra Modi)। জলপাইগুড়ির বিজেপি প্রার্থী জয়ন্ত রায়ের সমর্থনে সভামঞ্চ থেকে ইন্ডিয়া জোটের একহাত নিলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। বললেন, তৃণমূল, কংগ্রেস এবং বাম একই মুদ্রার এপিঠ ওপিঠ। মোদীর অভিযোগ, এরা একে অপরের দলের ভ্রষ্টাচারীদের রক্ষা করার জন্যে ইন্ডিয়া জোট গড়েছে। আমি বলি, ভ্রষ্টাচার শেষ করো, আর ওরা (ইন্ডিয়া জোট) বলে ভ্রষ্টাচারীদের বাঁচাও'।
