নরেন্দ্র মোদীর গুজরাট দাঙ্গায় ভূমিকায় নিয়ে ভারতে বিবিসির তথ্যচিত্র পুরোপুরি নিষেধাজ্ঞা করার জন্য দায়ের করা হয়েছিল জনস্বার্থ মামলা। সে মামলা খারিজ করে দিল সুপ্রিম কোর্ট। 'ইন্ডিয়া: দ্য মোদী কোয়েশ্চেন'নামের বিসিসি এবং ভারত থেকে চালিত বিবিসি ইন্ডিয়ায় তথ্যচিত্রটি প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও দেশের ভাবমূর্তিকে কালিমালিপ্ত করার জন্য তৈরি করা হয়েছে, বলে এটিকে চিরকালীন নিষেধাজ্ঞা করতে চেয়ে দায়ের হয়েছিল PIL। কিন্তু দেশের সর্বোচ্চ আদালত একেবারে খারিজ করে দিল এই আবেদন।
