বৃষ্টির মধ্যে পাহাড়ে সফরই হল কাল। সিকিমে পর্যটকদের নিয়ে খাদে পড়ল গাড়ি। রাস্তা থেকে সোজা ১ হাজার ফুট নীচে তিস্তা নদীতে পড়ে যায় গাড়িটি। দুর্ঘটনাগ্রস্ত গাড়িতে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ও ওড়িশার পর্যটক ছিল। এখনও নিখোঁজ ৯ পর্যটক।বৃহস্পতিবার সন্ধ্যা সাড়ে ৭টা নাগাদ দুর্ঘটনাটি ঘটে। উত্তর সিকিমের চুংথাং-মুন্সিথাংয়ের রাস্তায় দুর্ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে। ভারী বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে পাহাড়ে। তার মধ্যেই যাচ্ছিল গাড়ি। আচমকাই গাড়িটি রাস্তা থেকে ছিটকে ১০০০ ফুট গভীরে তিস্তা নদীতে পড়ে যায়।দুর্ঘটনার খবর পেয়েই উদ্ধারকাজে নেমেছে সেনা ও আইটিবিপির জওয়ানরা। রাতেই ২ জন পর্যটককে উদ্ধার করা হয়। তাদের চিকিৎসার জন্য গ্যাংটকে পাঠানো হয়েছে। এখনও নিখোঁজ ৯ পর্যটক।
