আপ আহ্বায়ক অরবিন্দ কেজরিওয়ালকে নয়া দিল্লি আসন থেকে হারিয়েছেন বিজেপি প্রার্থী প্রবেশ সিংহ বর্মা। ৩,১৮২ ভোটের ব্যবধানে জয় লাভ করেছেন প্রবেশ।
দীর্ঘ ২৭ বছর পর রাজধানী দিল্লির কুর্সিতে ফুটতে চলেছে পদ্ম। সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠতা পেয়ে ক্ষমতায় আসছে বিজেপি (BJP)। আপ আহ্বায়ক অরবিন্দ কেজরিওয়ালকে (Arvind Kejriwal) নয়া দিল্লি আসন থেকে হারিয়েছেন বিজেপি প্রার্থী প্রবেশ সিংহ বর্মা (Parvesh Singh Verma)। ৩,১৮২ ভোটের ব্যবধানে জয় লাভ করেছেন প্রবেশ। বাবার জয়ে দারুণ খুশি প্রবেশের দুই কন্যা ত্রিশা এবং সানিধি। একগাল হাসি মুখে তাঁরা বললেন, 'আমরা নয়া দিল্লির জনগণকে তাদের সমর্থনের জন্য ধন্যবাদ জানাচ্ছি। দিল্লির জনগণ কখনও মিথ্যা কথা বলে সরকার পরিচালনাকারী ব্যক্তিকে দ্বিতীয় সুযোগ দেওয়ার ভুল করবে না... তাই জয় নিয়ে আমরা নিশ্চিত ছিলাম। কেবল সঠিক সময়ের অপেক্ষায় ছিলাম। এবার দিল্লির জনগণ মিথ্যাকে জয়ী হতে দেয়নি'। তাঁরা আরও বললেন, 'দিল্লির মানুষ এখন পরিবর্তন চায়। এই সরকার (আপ) যা করতে ব্যর্থ। তাঁরা কেবল প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় আর তা পূরণ করতে না পেরে অজুহাত দেয়'।
