কেরলে ফের নতুন করে নিপা ভাইরাস থাবা বসাচ্ছে বলে অনুমান করা হচ্ছে। মঙ্গলবার কেরলের স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী বীণা জর্জ বলেন, নিপা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত এক ব্যক্তির খোঁজ মিলেছে বলে মনে করা হচ্ছে। নিপা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্তের (অনুমান) শরীর থেকে নমুনা সংগ্রহ করে তা পুনেতে পাঠানো হয়েছে। পাশাপাশি আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তি কার কার সংস্পর্শে এসেছেন, সে বিষয়ে তৈরি করা হয়েছে তালিকা। নিপা ভাইরাস কেরলে থাবা বসিয়েছে, সরকারিভাবে এমন ঘোষণা এখনও করা হয়নি। তবে বিষয়টি নিয়ে সমস্ত ধরনের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ করা হচ্ছে বলে জানান বীণা জর্জ।
