SC: শিশু পর্নোগ্রাফি দেখা ও ডাউনলোড করা POCSO আইনের অধীনে অপরাধ; সুপ্রিম কোর্ট

নয়াদিল্লি: শিশু পর্নোগ্রাফি নিয়ে মাদ্রাজ হাইকোর্টের সিদ্ধান্তকে চ্যালেঞ্জ জানিয়ে পিটিশনের ওপর  রায় দিল সুপ্রিম কোর্ট (Supreme Court)। বলা হয়েছিল যে ব্যক্তিগতভাবে শিশু পর্নোগ্রাফি (Child Pornography) দেখা ও ডাউনলোড করা POCSO আইনের আওতায় আসে না। আজ এ বিষয়ে রায় দিয়েছে সুপ্রিম কোর্ট। চাইল্ড পর্নোগ্রাফিতে মূলত ১৮ বছরের কম বয়সী নাবালিকাদের যৌন কার্যকলাপ দেখানো হয়।

ভারতে পর্ন ভিডিওর বাজার দ্রুত বাড়ছে। গুগল ২০২১ সালে একটি প্রতিবেদন প্রকাশ করে, যাতে বলা হয় যে ভারত পর্ন দেখার ক্ষেত্রে বিশ্বের ষষ্ঠ স্থানে রয়েছে। পর্ন হাব ওয়েবসাইট অনুসারে, ওয়েবসাইট ব্যবহারকারীদের মধ্যে ভারতীয়রা তৃতীয়। সুপ্রিম কোর্ট আজ স্পষ্ট বলেছে যে, শিশু পর্নোগ্রাফি ডাউনলোড করা বা দেখা POCSO আইনের অধীনে অপরাধ।
