নয়াদিল্লি: ওয়াশিংটনের অলিম্পিয়ায় (Olympia) প্রথমবারের মতো বৈশাখী উৎসব উদযাপন (Baisakhi Celebration) করা হয়েছে। বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠানে ওয়াশিংটন রাজ্যের গভর্নর বব ফার্গুসন, লেফটেন্যান্ট গভর্নর ডেনি হেক, সেক্রেটারি অফ স্টেট স্টিভ হবস এবং রাজ্যের সিনেটর, ওয়াশিংটন রাজ্য আইনসভার আইনপ্রণেতারা, ওয়াশিংটনে বসবাসকারী শিখ সম্প্রদায়ের বিশিষ্ট সদস্যরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। এদিকে, নিউ ইয়র্কের ভারতীয় কনস্যুলেট তাদের বৈশাখী উদযাপনের ছবিও শেয়ার করেছে।
