বাংলায় 'দ্য কেরালা স্টোরি' (The Kerala Story) নিষেধাজ্ঞা নিয়ে দেশের সিনেমার প্রযোজকদের সংগঠন ইম্পা বা ইন্ডিয়ান মোশন পিকচার্স প্রোডিউসার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েসন (IMPPA) নিন্দা জানিয়ে সরব হল। গতকাল, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ঘোষণা করেন, 'দ্য কেরালা স্টোরি' নিষিদ্ধ করার কথা। মমতা সরকারের এই সিদ্ধান্তকে বাক স্বাধীনতায় চূড়ান্ত আঘাত ও লঙ্ঘন বলে ব্যাখা করল IMPPA।

এদিকে, 'দ্য কেরালা স্টোরি'-র প্রযোজক বিপুল শাহ বাংলায় তার সিনেমার নিষেধাজ্ঞা নিয়ে আইনি পথে যাচ্ছেন।
